The Law of Attraction and the Energy of Money

If you keep up with my Insta or have ever participated in any of my wealth building programs, you know I take money seriously. I’m a huge proponent of teaching people -- especially the lovely ladies out there -- how to use investing to grow their wealth and take charge of their finances. Because money makes the world go round, and there’s no reason to sit on the sidelines and let guys make all the smart money moves. In fact, using some practical strategies and understanding fundamentals about money can help you change your financial situation.

The world of investing and finance is very practical, but many people don't realize that there’s also a more whoo-hoo side of money. Just like everything else in the world, money has an energy/frequency that is governed by particular 'rules', in this case the law of attraction.

I know it can sound a bit crazy to say you can manifest money or make it come to you with some mystical force. But quantum physics teaches us that everything we see in the world around us is vibrating at different, individual frequencies. These “vibes” might not seem like much, just a reality of existing in our wonderful world, but the truth is that the energy you give off -- either positive or negative -- can have a huge impact on what you attract in your life.

This applies in a very real way to money. Now, a lot of people actually believe the old saying that money is the root of all evil. Although people can do bad things to accumulate wealth, money is not fundamentally evil. Money is a neutral resource, one that should ideally be available and accessible to everyone. This means that money has no frequency or energy of its own, rather it only has as much meaning and emotion as we bring to it.

This is where our own personal frequencies and energies play into the equation. When we make financial decisions, we are either making them from a place of abundance or a place of fear or scarcity.

We all have our own relationship with money, wealth, and finances based on our upbringing and life experiences. Some people are accustomed to being stressed and worried when dealing with money, sometimes hoarding money or avoiding their finances all together. These people operate from a scarcity mindset, in which they see money as a source of great stress. This means they often approach money with an attitude of frustration, desperation, and uncertainty. It’s not really a huge shock that those with a scarcity mindset have trouble attracting money and wealth.

People with an abundance mindset are a whole different breed. Unlike their fearful, uncertain counterparts, these abundance minded people approach money with feelings of confidence, joy, love, and ease. They have a healthy relationship with money; they believe a wealthy life is possible, they invest well, are in a flow with money and aren’t afraid to spend money on things and experiences that will make them happiest. For abundance minded folks, money does grow on trees because they attract it with their powerful energy and certainty.

As good as an attitude of abundance sounds, most people approach money with a scarcity mindset. After all, most of us have lived through a couple of recessions and stock market crashes and are well aware that money can disappear just as fast as it appeared. But when scarcity is our go-to frequency, we actually create a resistance to money. We unintentionally push it away with our frustration, fear, and desperation, forcing it further and further out of our grasp.

So how do we switch our frequency and learn to approach money with an attitude of abundance instead of lack? Here are some things you can try:

1. Connect with more things that bring you joy.

As adults we spend a lot of our lives carrying out structured routines. But we also need to spend some time getting back in touch with our inner child, learning how to play, let loose, have fun, and feel more joy. Not only will this help you to attract money, but it will help you practice a real spirit of gratitude, allowing you to give freely to others from your own heartfelt desire rather than from the feeling that giving is what you “should” do.

2. Improve your relationship with money.

Avoid putting money and wealth on a pedestal. You are in control, you GET to receive money and feel really freaking good about it. Become aware of your negative thoughts about money. Question where they come from and if these thoughts are keeping you stuck or helping you thrive. Consider adopting a money mantra that you can get behind: “I am worthy of wealth,” “I am open to abundance,” “I am in control of my financial future,” “I’m a money magnet.” Remember, you are worthy of wealth.

Once you start realizing how you approach money, it's going to makes sense why money is either flowing to or away from you. From there you can learn how to change the way you think and feel about it in order to adjust that flow so you become a money magnet. So, stop hoping and praying that you’ll come in to some money somehow, and start acting like it's already yours! Money wants to flow your way - be open to it.

Because remember: the universe delivers to us not what we want, but what we are.
